Medicine.
1. A condition marked by a suffocating, oppressive pain or discomfort; esp. quinsy. Now rare. M16.
2. In full angina pectoris . Severe pain in the chest, and often also the arms and neck, due to inadequate blood supply to the heart muscles. M18.
anginal adjective of, pertaining to, or characterized by angina (usu. angina pectoris) E19.
'anginoid adjective = anginal L19.
