<chemical> 2-amino-n-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)propanamide. An antiarrhythmic agent which exerts a potential- and frequency-dependent block of sodium channels. It is generally well tolerated but induces pulmonary complications in some patients.

Pharmacological action: anti-arrhythmia agents.
