A. adjective.
Disposed to rebel against God or against constituted authority; disaffected. Now only Hist. (derog.), sympathetic to the royalist cause during the English civil war. M16.
Orig., (of a disease) liable to become progressively more severe; extremely virulent; very infectious. Now chiefly of a cancer or tumour: tending to spread to Other parts of the body, or to recur after removal; cancerous. M16.

Chiefly Astrology. Having an evil influence or effect. L16.
Characterized by intense ill will; keenly desirous of the suffering or misfortune of others. L16.
