Chemistry. Orig., the relationship of two or more compounds that have the same molecular formula but different properties (i.e. isomerism). Later, the relationship between organic compounds that have similar molecular structures and differ only in the alkyl groups or other substituents they contain. M19.
Zoology. The condition of consisting of several similar segments or metameres; metameric segmentation; an instance of this. L19.
