Deluxe Turkey Pita Melt (recipes)




Yield: Makes 2 servings



Ingredients:



1whole wheat pita bread

2ounces Brie or Other soft cheese

2ounces sliced smoked turkey

1medium tomato, thinly sliced

1/4teaspoon dried basil

Shredded lettuce or alfalfa sprouts (optional)









Preparation:





1.Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut pita around edge to make 2 flat pieces.2.Spread inside of each pita half with Brie. Top with turkey, tomato and basil.3.Place pita halves on Baking sheet. Bake about 5 minutes or until cheese melts and topping is hot. Serve warm topped with shredded lettuce, if desired.
