A. noun. Any of various parasitic wormlike animals of the class Pentastomida (or Pentastoma), which infest the lungs and nasal passages of vertebrates and are allied to the arthropods. Also called linguatulid, tongue-worm. E20.

A horizontal plane midway between the superior margins of the manubrium sterni and the symphysis pubis; the pylorus is not usually located on this plane in life.
