An insect now or formerly included in the homopteran gall-forming genus Phylloxera (family Phylloxeridae); esp. (more fully grape phylloxera, vine phylloxera) Viteus vitifolii, a destructive pest of vines.

Mexican Deviled Eggs (recipes)


Ingredients

8 hard boiled eggs

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup salsa

2 tablespoons sliced green onions

1 tablespoons sour cream

Salt to taste



Directions

Slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and set whites aside in a small bowl. Mash yolks with cheese, mayonnaise, salsa, onions, sour cream and salt. Evenly fill the egg whites. Chill before serving.
