A. noun.
The soft edible fruit of several shrubs of the genus Rubus, of the rose family (esp. the Eurasian Rubus idaeus and its N. American variety), which is red or sometimes yellow and composed of numerous drupelets arranged on an easily separated conical receptacle; a plant bearing this fruit. E17.
