I. Labour, cultivate.
verb intrans. Strive, exert oneself, work. OE-ME.
verb trans. Labour or seek after, provide; obtain by effort. Later also, get, obtain. OE-LME.
verb trans. Attend to medically; treat (a patient or disease), take care of. Only in OE.
verb trans. & (rare) intrans. Do work such as ploughing, manuring, etc., on (land) in preparation for growing crops; cultivate (soil, a field, etc.). ME.
