ADJOURNMENT (law)


ADJOURNMENT. The dismissal by some court, legislative assembly, or properlyauthorized officer, of the business before them, either finally, which isauthorized officer, of the business before them, either finally, which iscalled an adjournment sine die, without day; or, to meet again at anothercalled an adjournment sine die, without day; or, to meet again at anothertime appointed, which is called a temporary adjournment. 2.
