(2) The lawyer who presents the case against the accused in a trial. In serious cases, there can be more than one lawyer involved. Most prosecutions are handled by a body known as the Crown Prosecution Service.

Eisenhower, Dwight David (oh)



(1890-1969) a US politician in the Republican Party, who was President of the US from 1953 to 1961. Eisenhower was a General in the US army during World War II, and he became the commander of all the Allied forces in Europe, leading the attack on D-day in 1944. People informally called him Ike.
