Denhardt's solution


A solution commonly used during probe hybridisations that involve filters (such as Southern, Northern, or Western blots).

The solution contains ficoll, bovine serum albumin, polyvinylpyrrolidone, and a high concentration of non-specific DNA so the probe will not hybridise non-specifically.
