A superfamily of nematodes, including the following roundworms that are parasitic in man: Trichinella spiralis, the trichina worm (family Trichinellidae); Trichuris trichiura, the human whipworm; Capillaria hepatica, the capillary liver worm; and C. Philippinensis (family Trichuridae).
Synonym: Trichinellicae.
