lincomycin
<drug> Antibiotic active against gram-positive bacteria. Acts by blocking protein synthesis by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome and blocking peptidyltransferase reaction. Clindamycin, a derivative of lincomycin, is used as an antimalarial drug.
