A kind of light fine narrow pillow-lace. Also mignonette lace. E18.
Any of several plants of the genus Reseda (family Resedaceae), with small greenish or whitish flowers in spikelike racemes; spec. R. odorata, cultivated for its fragrant flowers. Also (more fully wild mignonette), a related plant of chalky ground, R. lutea. L18.
b. A colour resembling that of the flowers of the mignonette; greyish green or greenish white. L19.
