Family Friendship Praline (recipes)




Yield: Makes 6 to 8 servings



Ingredients:



1cup pecan halves

1/2cup butter (do not use margarine)

1/3cup granulated sugar

1/3cup packed light brown sugar

1tablespoon light corn syrup

1teaspoon vanilla









Preparation:





1.Line 8-inch round pan with foil, extending foil beyond edges of pan; butter foil lightly.2.Combine pecans, butter, sugars and corn syrup in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes or until mixture turns golden brown. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.3.Pour mixture into prepared pan and spread evenly. Cool completely on wire rack.4.Remove praline from pan using foil as handles; peel off foil.
