Apple Cake (recipes)


Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter

2 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 cups chopped apple

Topping

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/2 cup coconut



Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.



In a large bowl, cream butter. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, flour, and cinnamon; mix well. Stir in apples. Pour batter into a greased 13x9 baking pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
