Gannat (French Cheese Bread) (recipes)
Yield: Makes 1 (1-1/2-pound) loaf (12 to 16 servings)
Ingredients:
2eggs
3tablespoons water
1/4cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, cut up and softened
1teaspoon salt
2-1/2cups all-purpose flour
1cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese
1teaspoon sugar
2teaspoons active dry yeast
Preparation:
1.Measuring carefully, place all ingredients in bread machine pan in order specified by owner' s manual.2.Program basic or white cycle and desired crust setting; press start. (Do not use delay cycle.) Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
