Green Beans Almandine (recipes)




Yield: Makes 2 servings



Ingredients:



2tablespoons sliced almonds

1/2pound green beans, trimmed

1teaspoon butter

1/2teaspoon olive oil

1/8teaspoon salt

Pinch freshly ground black pepper









Preparation:





1.Toast almonds in large skillet over medium heat until lightly colored and fragrant, about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.2.Bring to a boil enough salted water to cover green beans. Add beans, and cook 4 to 6 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain well.3.Melt butter in olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add beans and heat through, about 1 minute. Add toasted almonds, salt and pepper, stirring to combine. Serve hot.
